Kelechi Emeka-Okereke (b. 2000) is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist who lives and works between Port Harcourt and Lagos, Nigeria. A prodigious talent, Okereke began creating art at the age of seven and later pursued formal training in civil engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, all while cultivating his artistic practice.
Okereke’s distinctive artistic voice seamlessly blends abstraction, cubism, and portraiture to craft evocative narratives that bridge modern and contemporary art. Rooted in personal experiences, his work explores themes of identity, cultural preservation, and human connection. In November 2023, Okereke’s career gained global momentum when his work went viral on TikTok, leading to international recognition, acquisitions by collectors, and a surge in commissioned projects across Africa, Europe, and America. His works have graced notable venues, including the National Gallery of Art, Enugu (2019), and he has exhibited internationally, such as in New Jersey, USA (2025).
